My name is Jen, and I have been sewing for over 20 years. I had the pleasure of working with children with special needs for 6 years, during which I learnt all about the importance of making learning fun.
Life changed when I had an accident and hurt my back, so I can no longer work outside the home. However, I still wanted to pursue my sewing hobby while making learning fun for the children in my family.
I have 2 children and lots of nieces and nephews. I make books, toys, and Barbie outfits for them on their birthdays and at Christmas.
For a few years now, my family and friends have encouraged me to share my ideas and creativity with other families by starting a small business selling my creations. This is how Sew JenWren was born.
The name Sew JenWren comes from my nan, who always called me her little Jennie Wren when I spent my summer holidays with her as a child and learnt to sew. It felt like the perfect name for my venture.
I only make one-off designs, so once a book is sold, it is no longer available in that exact design. However, I’d be happy to make a similar one, though it may vary slightly in colour. This ensures that when you give a gift from Sew JenWren, it’s truly unique, and no one else will have gifted the same one.
